About True Friends.
Almighty Allah exhorts us in the Holy Quran "Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and disagree with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knows best, who have strayed from the Righteous Path; and who receive guidance. And if you reprimand them, reprimand them no worse than you would like to be reprimanded, but if you show patience, that is indeed the best (course) for those who are patient. And do be patient for your patience is but from ALLAH. Verily Allah is with those who are pious and those who are virtuous." Quran 16:125-128 (Tafseer -E- Usmani).
A friend is someone we turn to when our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone we treasure for friendship is a gift,
A friend is someone who fills our lives with beauty, joy and grace
And makes the world we live in a better and happier place.
A friend is someone who is close in thought that no distance can ever seem far.
Friendship is something that could not be bought, Remembrance in the hearts by saying a du'a.
A friend is someone who brings you close to Allah And not one that takes you astray
A friend will make you strive in the way of Allah and someone that helps you to see the true way.
A friend is someone that will advise you kindly whenever you do wrong
A friend is someone that will not praise you too high for that will makes you fall
A friend is someone that greets you, Accompanied with a smiling face.
A friend will give you his Salaam, And a du'a for grace.
When we live only for ourselves, we are not fulfilling our whole duty as believers; the Quran teaches (103:2-3): "Verily man is in loss except such as have Faith and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth, and of patience and constancy." We have a duty to spread the Quranic message and the Sunnah in our lives morally and spiritually. Our goal must be to please Almighty Allah and in doing so, those who reverence Allah will be pleased when Allah is pleased with them. Almighty Allah teaches that some will hear the Truth and then love it and accept it -- others will hear the Truth and hate it and reject it. It is Allah who opens one's heart.
Real love is to enjoin others to what is best, and to remember that Allah, alone, is the all-knowing. Only Allah knows the intention of our hearts. We cannot love a person if we fear to tell him that something is wrong, when we perceive that the person needs greater understanding. Prophet Muhammad (saw) said, "By Allah, in whose hand my soul is, a person does not believe until he likes for his brother what he likes for himself." (Hadith related by Bukhari and Muslim)
Let us invite our Brothers and Sisters to Truth, Patience and Constancy with guidance from the Quran and the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw) : this is one of the noblest tasks,. For those who do not heed, Allah cautions, "Verily Man is in loss." In a Hadith related by Abu Dawud, the Prophet (Saw) said, "When sin is done in the earth, he who sees it and disapproves of it will be like one who was not present, but he who is not present when it is done and approves of it will be like him who sees it."
It is our struggle to propagate Divine Guidance in the manner most pleasing to Allah. The opening Quranic verse above gives the best Guidance for befriending others, "Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching."...
